Departments and Projects:
ALAN is an internal order-processing system acting as an intermediate between customers and suppliers. ALAN supports various users like the ordering team, customer service team, and scanners in the warehouse.
- The ordering cycle is the main functionality of ALAN system beginning with collecting customer orders from different sales channels and routing them to different suppliers, and ending with scanning and printing the despatch packing slips for shipping the orders. ALAN includes other features like the dynamic orders search for supporting different customer inquiries, and a reporting module for generating various statistical reports used by supervisors, administrators and the finance team.
- We currently serve customers in four languages; English, Spanish, Japanese and Italian. We are planning to expand our team and to include new foreign and domestic agents to ensure the best quality service to our customers.
- Manage the company's EDI process with major suppliers as it relates to sending/receiving purchase orders, Acknowledgements and invoices electronically. Assists, resolves and reports any problems to OP Manager regarding the day to day operations in the department Work with Customer Operations systems specialist and IST to resolve any system issues identified & respond to any inquiries regarding sales orders related transactions.
Maeyeer (Arabic Books Standards) : Maeyeer's aim is to overcome the limitations that make it difficult for most Arabic publishers and booksellers to fully access the titles published worldwide in an easy way; by introducing international book standards in an Arabized manner, specifically for Arabic titles, setting the standards for subject classifications and data exchange, and enabling publishers and booksellers to reach a wider international market than was ever possible before.
- The department objective is to maintain Elkotob's financial health, including financial processes, controls, accounting practices and presentation of results to the senior management.
Customer Service Department is responsible for the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. Our goal is to fully meet our customer expectations and to reach their full satisfaction. Our office serve customer on-line for 16 hours every day of the week. Four foreign agents have joined us since April 2012.
Ordering:Administer online sales orders and associated data entry. Monitor & Controls the whole electronic fulfillment process starting from collecting & gathering online customers' orders from online marketplace channels to items delivery to the customers.
ElManhal (Arabic Book Catalogue):ElManhal is a web-based service that aims to overcome the problem of exchanging Arabic book information in electronic form. Its goal is to achieve an up-to-standard Arabic book catalogue through applying international book standards, and offering publishers and data providers a set of user-friendly and easy-to-use online tools. These tools achieve data format conversion, and facilitate book data entry allowing data providers to export their own data upon request.
Human Resources DepartmentGuides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company. The major areas directed are: recruiting and staffing organizational and space planning performance management and improvement systems organization development employment and compliance to regulatory concerns employee orientation, development, and training policy development and documentation
Finance Department:Finance department has an executive responsibility for all of Elkotob financial operations and functions.
